Abstrakt Regional development issues for several years have been an important problem discussed from regional and local experts in the framework of national economic developments but also in the context of our country’s integration into the European Union. Especially today, in view of significant differences and inequalities existence, regarding the development of different regions of the country, it is specifically important the quality of drafting and implementing plans and strategies of regional and local development. This paper tends to analyze the overview of Albanian regional development, highlighting the so far achievements, and at the same time the problems and challenges associated with this process.
