Abstract Nowadays business schools are thinking about developing new leaders for the digital economy. Are there any principle that we can apply to thinking about the technological reforms to enable new potentials regarding business and society. What we will present in this seminar is the business-centric framework on which we will analyze on what these schools are thinking of doing and what is the new digital economy based on new technological reforms. The business-centric framework articulates three reasons to describe the importance of information technology in business and which are: (1) IT continually transform industry and society, (2) executive decisions about IT investments, governance, and strategy are critical to organizational success, and (3) deriving value from increasingly available data trails defi nes effective decision making in the digital economy.
